2019 State of Estuary report available

The amount of eelgrass in Elkhorn Slough shows signs of recovery since 1980. This is one example of the kinds of data presented in the report by ESNERR researchers.

Scientists with the Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve (ESNERR) produce a State of the Estuary Report every two years. The report presents changes over time, using long-term monitoring data to detect trends in indicators that would suggest that aspects of ecosystem health or function at Elkhorn Slough are improving, degrading, or remaining stable.
